Ikooko(wolf)
Genre.: IJALA(Nigerian hunters song)
Title:Ikooko(wolf)
Inspired by MA Samantha Beardon
.
Ikooko ajegun jeran(feeds on flesh&bones)
Whose howl troubles animal hearts
For this bark makes them frightened
I call thee (Ikooko)
For on your flesh we hunters will dine
Your blood on this forest we'll toast
Ikooko the wild dog
Loitering alone in the darkest pitch
All night to search for prey
A predator,waiting silently
with fangs with your sharpened claws
Ikooko the jungle beast
Whose teeth scares the wild rabbit
For your lost soul tonight we camp
To roast your flesh, with this firewood
Cultivated by the great bards
@Anazodo Jeremiah the kolo lawd
Cheers with me as we feast
On the flesh of this carnivorous beast
Yahya A Gimba the vicious hunter
Whose machete slays more than a sniper
Whose pen hunts down and causes
Weird emotions on the face of his reader
Olaoluwa Joseph the great harbinger
Whose poem foretells the upcoming danger
Through this dark night wild hunt
For we have suffered around this jungle
Let's toast with this carnivorous beast blood
To quench our long time thirst
Dance to the tune of this campfire
Burning furiously,blazing high
Sing along to the blare of these monstrous insects
Ikooko the carnivorous beast
For your soul we hunt
Your flesh we feast
Your blood we toast
Fury not,your ghost
For we are the night hunters
Hunts with no matchete no gun
But with a pen and overflowing cup of ink
We capture each heart of our readers
With rhymes, overflows like river.
This is an Ijala a Nigerian hunting song adapted for the hunters of words.
