Ode To My BesTea

My BesTea

Her smiles brighten up my day
as we engage in brawl after brawl
 survivor of the sharpest tongue
invisible smacks and hurls.

"Hey fool" dances in the air
When both mouth exchange words
A foolhardy, modern age dullard
thousand names for a girl in my world.

Passing calls Like soccer ball
throwing curses through the window
when the sun has gone to sleep
her heart lays down beside my pillow.

In the safest warmth of my arms
from dusk till dawn in a midnight train
traveling with laughter and goosebumps
to dreamland through cellular pane.

When dark night changes to blue dawn
Her voice will tuck me out of bed
"You're a fool " as warm tea and milk
Laughter and giggles as soft bread.
