Street Of Blood 02

I watch modern age heroes
melt down like nighttime candle
with necklace of tyres in midst of fiery fire.
cold waters dripping down their eyes
but couldn't extinguish the flames of crime.

Tears of childless mothers clinging onto
legs of government's watch dogs
 deafen my hearing,
giving me sour feelings
with toiled emotions I asked ;
When are we going to drink
 from the water of justice?

I watch my brothers bodies and souls
hanged up on trees as an emblem
to restrict us from seeking justice.

My mother's heart was filled with strains
watching her lilies dragged around
the dusty street with scornful laughter.

crime whirlwind deserted my home
like a chick quivering to the chirps of hawk
I beseech Jehovah utmost mercy
" rain down on us water of peace "
to wash away blood of innocent lads
murdered in the middle of the dusty street

Our throats yearn for yearlong
to drink from the rejuvenating water
cascading down from the sky
to quench the longtime thirst for vengeance
Maybe it won't rain today nor tomorrow
As it never does in the yester days.
