Together as one

Come east, come west, come south, come north,

let's sit and rejoice the lives of our fathers,

the sweats that laced their Jaws,

the broken bows and strained knuckles,

that brought freedom to our existence.

Let's take a walk to the dark alley

to see the lucid dreams, our heroes painted

on fabricated walls and rigid bridges,

let's keep walking to the green garden, 

to see the spring ooze out of metal pipelines,

watering the flowery peace our fathers yielded.

Let's enjoy the fragrant smells,

of the blooming flowers our fathers bred,

let's feast on our native dishes,

slices of smoked fish and buttered breads,

fresh milk and gourds of palmwine

with bubbling smiles and folklore tales,

to celebrate the agonies and pains of our heroes

Let's not reminisce about the failure of our heroes

how they dug up their own graves,

as inter-ethnic war caused disaster,

swooping their Greenville to a deserted island

Let's not fluctuate on an ocean of indifferences.

Let's not stain the white collar of our mother's linen,

let's come together, as one

and march to the land of fulfillment,

let's wave the badge of honesty

with the strength of the horses in our coat of arms.

Let's curb our father's misfortunes in a bag

and throw it into forever-gone sea,

Son of oduduwas,odinmas and the gambaris

Let's fly as one up in the sky,

holding the baton of love and peace,

with our dancing tri- colour flag in our hands,

together let's become one.
